The RCMS490-D-2 is a 12-channel residual current monitor designed for earthed systems (TN and TT systems) to monitor residual currents and fault currents in AC, DC and AC/DC hybrid systems. The device performs non‑invasive measurements via external measuring current transformers and provides early warning when ground faults are detected. It complies with IEC 62020 and IEC 61557‑9 standards.

Key Features
· 12 independent measuring channels: Monitors 12 separate circuits per device, each channel with its own alarm contact for quick fault location
· Flexible measurement type: Each channel can be independently configured as AC sensitive, pulsating DC sensitive or AC/DC fully current sensitive by selecting the appropriate measuring current transformer
· True RMS measurement: Ensures measurement accuracy even in harmonic-rich environments
· High scalability: Up to 90 RCMS monitors can be connected via the BMS bus, expanding to 1080 measuring channels
· Fast parallel scanning: All channels are scanned in parallel for rapid response
· History memory and data logger: Built-in history memory stores 300 time-stamped event records; data logger stores 300 measurement records per channel
· Harmonics analysis: Supports harmonics analysis, DC component analysis and total harmonic distortion (THD) analysis
· Continuous CT connection monitoring: Continuously monitors external current transformer connection status; alarms immediately on wire break
· Password protection: Prevents unauthorised parameter changes
· Preset function: Supports quick commissioning with preset function
