The IR470LY-4013 is an insulation monitoring device from Bender, part of the A-ISOMETER® series. It is designed for unearthed AC and three-phase systems (IT systems) to continuously monitor insulation resistance between the system conductors and earth (PE). When the insulation value falls below a preset threshold, the device triggers an alarm, helping to prevent unexpected power failures or equipment damage.
The device operates on the DC superimposition measuring principle and is particularly suitable for pure AC systems without significant DC components (such as frequency converters or rectifiers). Thanks to an independent external power supply, de-energised systems can also be monitored. In combination with AGH series coupling devices, the A-ISOMETER® can be used for higher voltages.

Key Features
· DC superimposition measurement – Continuously monitors insulation resistance of unearthed IT systems with high accuracy
· Dual alarm thresholds – Two independently adjustable response values for pre‑warning and main alarm (selectable ranges)
· Connection monitoring – Continuously supervises measuring leads and earth connections; flashing alarm LED indicates interruption
· Offline monitoring – Independent external power supply allows monitoring even when the main circuit is de‑energised
· LED bar graph – Provides an immediate visual indication of the current insulation level
· Fault memory – Selectable latching mode; alarm messages can be stored and cleared manually via reset button
· Self‑test and reset – Integrated TEST/RESET button on the front panel; supports remote operation via external buttons
· Voltage extension – Can be used for higher voltages (up to 7.2 kV) with AGH series coupling devices
Typical Applications
· Pure AC unearthed systems (IT systems): Motors, pumps, fans, air conditioning, lighting, heating systems, etc. (without frequency converters or rectifiers)
· Industrial plants: Control circuits, motor control centres (MCC), production lines
· Mobile generators: Online and offline insulation monitoring of portable or stationary generators
· Marine and offshore: Shipboard power systems and offshore platforms
