12-Channel Digital Input Module for Modicon TM5, 24 VDC Sink

The TM5SDI12D is a 12-channel discrete input module for the Modicon TM5 modular I/O system. It reads 24 VDC sink signals from sensors, switches, pushbuttons and relay contacts, and reports channel status through 12 green LEDs on the front. Each channel is single-wire and draws 3.75 mA at 24 V, with 6.4 kOhm input impedance and a guaranteed ON threshold of 15 V.

Input filtering is configurable in software from 0 to 25 ms in 0.2 ms steps, with a 1 ms default, alongside a 100 microsecond hardware filter. This lets the same module handle fast position sensors and slow mechanical contacts without adding external conditioning. The module is 12.5 mm wide and clips onto the TM5 bus base, so a full 12-channel block takes very little panel space.

The module is 500 VAC isolated between channels and the internal bus, protected to IP20, and rated for -10 to 55 C operation. It is used with Modicon M258, LMC058 and LMC078 logic controllers and with PacDrive LMC Eco, LMC Pro and LMC Pro 2 motion controllers.
