The Kollmorgen SERVOSTAR 603-AS (S60301) is a compact, mains-fed digital servo amplifier from the proven SERVOSTAR 600 family, rated 3 A RMS at 230–480 VAC, 3-phase, 50/60 Hz (2 kVA). It provides precise, low-latency motion control for brushless servo motors with resolver or high-resolution sin/cos encoder feedback — now with the -AS- safety option (built-in restart lock / safety relay per EN 954-1) for personnel protection.
The "-AS-" option adds a 24 VDC safety relay with forced-guided contacts (controlled externally via the additional X10 front connector) that safely cuts the drive power supply to the motor — preventing unexpected machine restart after a safety circuit trip. This is a personnel-protection restart lock; it is not an STO function.

-AS- Safety Option (Restart Lock) The built-in 24 VDC safety relay (approved, forced-guided contacts, positive action) is controlled externally through the additional X10 connector. Note: The -AS- restart lock is a restart-prevention function and is not equivalent to an STO safety function (per Kollmorgen documentation).
