The VME420-D-1 is a multifunctional voltage and frequency monitoring relay from the Bender LINETRAXX® series. It is designed for monitoring undervoltage (< U), overvoltage (> U), underfrequency (< f), and overfrequency (> f) in AC and DC systems up to 300 V. Voltage measurement uses true RMS (r.m.s.) method for high accuracy even in harmonic‑rich environments.
This version requires an external auxiliary supply of AC 16…72 V / DC 9.6…94 V.

· Preset function – Automatically determines system voltage on first power‑on and sets basic thresholds, simplifying commissioning
· Event memory – Stores the first measured value that triggered an alarm for easy fault diagnosis
· Password protection – Prevents unauthorised parameter changes
· Sealable transparent cover – Protects against unauthorised access to the operating panel
· Continuous self‑monitoring – Internal self‑diagnostics ensure operational reliability
· Built‑in test/reset button – Allows manual testing and reset without external controls
Typical Applications
· Voltage and frequency monitoring of single‑phase machines and electrical installations
· Earth fault monitoring in medium‑voltage systems via voltage transformers
· Monitoring of battery systems
· Switching machinery and equipment at specific voltage thresholds
