The 2711P-RDT15C an Allen-Bradley display module that is used as a replacement part of the pre-installed display module of PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus 6 1500 touch operated and colored screen terminals.

This display module mainly features a display screen with size of 15-inches, having an effective display area of 304 x 228 mm (12.0 x 9.0 in.) and pixel resolution of 1024 x 768 in 18-bit color graphics. This display module is not limited to providing a process visualization as it also hosts the analog resistive touchscreen. This touchscreen interface may be operated up to 1 Million actuations with an actuation force of 10-110 g.

The display module is the most active and utilized component of the PanelView operator terminal. However, this component may be protected and maintained to maximize the designed lifespan of the component. To maintain the display module, the surface of this component may be wiped with soft cloth to eliminate build-up of contaminants such as oil, grease and dirt as well as to prevent viewing obstruction. Additionally, a window kit may be used to protect the display module and prevent unwanted and unauthorized access.

There are adjustable parameters available in the operator terminal configuration mode that may affect the operation of the display module. For the Touchscreen feature, the calibration setup may be initiated by accessing the touch parameters to fine tune and maintain accuracy of the touch interface. The brightness and contrast may also be adjusted to improve the viewing experience of the screen.
