Description

The 5069-L330ERMS3 is a safety controller from the 5380 Compact GuardLogix product family. This controller mainly features inherent Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 rating and carries ratings and approvals from c-UL-us, CE, RCM, Ex, IECEx, KC, EAC and EtherNet/IP.

This safety controller is capable of performing both standard and safety functionalities at the same. With this, it may be installed with a combination of standard and safety I/O modules, as local I/O or distributed I/O component. For local I/O, the maximum number of I/O modules that may be installed is 31 modules while for distributed I/O, it mainly depends on the network architecture and the maximum I/O capacity that this safety controller can accommodate which is 128,000 packets/second.

Aside from being a safety controller, this controller is able to perform motion control task as this controller may be configured up to 256 motion axes and 16 CIP drive axes which may be composed of any combination of CIP Drive, Virtual, Consumed, Regenerative AC/DC Converter and Non-Regenerative AC/DC Converter.

To accommodate user programs, the 5069-L330ERMS3 has user memory area amounting 3 MB and safety memory amounting to 1.5 MB. Additionally, it also ships with a 17840SD2 which is a Secure Digital (SD) card with 2 GB memory that acts as the controller’s non-volatile memory. The non-volatile memory may be expanded up to 32 GB. Aside from the memory areas, the 5069-L330ERMS3 is configurable for up to 32 tasks, 31 of these are standard task and 1 as safety task.

The Ethernet ports each need to have their own IP address when the 5069-L330ERMS3 controller is operating in the Dual-IP mode, but they can share 1 IP address when the controller is operating in the Linear/DLR mode. The 5069-L330ERMS3 controller can communicate at speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1 Gbps through these 2 ports and the Ethernet network. It can communicate at up to 12 Mbps through the USB port.

The Compact GuardLogix 5069-L330ERMS3 controller supports the star, linear, and DLR Ethernet/IP network topologies and as many as 60 Ethernet nodes at a time. It can be programmed by several different programming languages, including the Ladder Diagram (LD), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and the Sequential Function Chart (SFC) programming languages. It can also be programmed with the Safety Task programming language, but this programming language only supports RLL application instructions and some additional application safety instructions. The 5069-L330ERMS3 controller features 1.5 MB of safety memory and 3 MB of user memory. Its MOD Power voltage range is from 18 to 32 Volts DC SELV/PELV.
