Description

The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-HV150-SE belongs to the Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive that features an integrated SERCOS interface. This SERVO drive is used to control motion and position of actuators such as motors, installed in the manufacturing industry, most of the time in the assembly area.

To operate the 2098-DSD-HV150-SE, it must be supplied with an input voltage supply of 3-Phase, 230-480VAC rms. It is capable of providing output power of 7.5 kW at 230VAC and 15.0 kW at 460VAC with Continuous Output Current 34 A and Intermittent Output Current of 68 A. Interfaces of this SERVO drive are mounted on the module’s front panel. These interface include DC Bus Connections for Active Shunt Resistor Kit, AC Input Power Connections, Motor Power Connections, within a single terminal strip, Motor Power Cable Shield Clamp located at the drive’s bottom, used to fix cable in place and eliminate line noise, CN3 9-pin Serial Port Connector that supports RS232 / RS422 and RS485 communication standard, CN2 15-pin Motor Feedback Connector for connecting motor feedback, and CN1 44-pin for connecting input and output signals such a Eight (8) Discrete Inputs, Five (5) discrete outputs that is comprised of One (1) Relay and Four (4) sourcing outputs, Two (2) analog input and One (1) analog output channels.

Through the SERCO interface of the drive, communication with controllers installed with the 1756 SERCOS interface module and SoftLogix SERCOS interface installed at the PCI card slot of any programming workstation is possible.
