Description

The Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8SK is a POINT Guard I/O that is part of the 1734 product bulletin. This module is mainly used in applications that require compliance to Safety Integrated Level up to and including Category 3 and 4 and Performance Level e/ Safety Integrated Level (SIL) CL3. This module comes with Eight (8) safety inputs that accepts an input signal voltage range of 11-30 VDC and supports current sinking wiring configuration. Other input specifications include maximum Off-state input voltage of 5 VDC, minimum on-state current of 3.3 A and maximum Off-state current of 1.3 A. The input type is of Type 3 based on the IEC 61131-2 specification with individual reaction time of < 16.2 ms. The 1734-IB8SK and the entire POINT Guard I/O system are used to distribute safety I/O along with Safety controllers such as GuardLogix, Compact GuardLogix and Smart Guard systems. The 1734-IB8SK also has Four (4) Pulse Test Outputs that is compatible with Four (4) compatible sources including T0, T1M, T2, T3M. These outputs are wired in current sourcing configuration with output current of 0.7 A, maximum, per channel with total current output of 2.8 A @ 40 degrees C (104 degrees F) per module. This module is also provided with conformal coating that makes this module compatible for use in hazardous and corrosive environment.
