About 1794-IF8IH

The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF8IH FLEX I/O module is a HART analog module that has isolated inputs. It has been approved for safe operation in hazardous industrial environments by the North American Hazardous Location Approval standards. The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF8IH FLEX I/O module has 8 isolated inputs that are also single-ended inputs. It is compatible with the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O 1794-TB3 1794-TB3S terminal bases. It uses the Sigma-Delta conversion type and it can handle unipolar and bipolar resolutions. Its unipolar resolution is 16 bits and its bipolar resolution is 15 bits plus sign. The external DC voltage range for this FLEX I/O module is from 19.2 to 31.2 Volts DC with a 5% AC ripple. Its dimensions are 3.7 x 3.7 x 2.6 inches.

The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF8IH FLEX I/O HART analog module comes factory calibrated but it can field calibrated too if field calibration is necessary for the module's intended applications. It has a Flexbus current rating of 80 mA at 5 Volts DC. The module's maximum power dissipation rating is 4.8 Watts at 31.2 Volts DC and its maximum thermal dissipation rating is 16.4 BTU per hour at 31.2 Volts DC. The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF8IH FLEX I/O module can operate safely at a temperature range between 32 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit and it has an open enclosure. The wire size that it needs will depend on the terminal base that it is mounted on, but the wire must always be shielded and it should be in wiring category 2 on the signal ports and in wiring category 3 on the power ports.
