About 1794-ID2
The 1794-ID2 by Allen Bradley is an Input/output module deployed for applications that require high-speed pulse counting. It includes 2 basic inputs which also act as pulse transmitter interfaces with 4 inputs per counter (also known as optocoupled inputs). There are a variety of processes that are aided by this module, including high-speed calculations, positioning, and quantity counting. Additionally, it contains independent –ve and +ve inputs which are basically complementary and non-complementary signals.
Event triggering in the 1794-ID2 generally takes place with 1 or 2 pulse trains, each of them being individually programmable; it has an operating voltage ranging between 12 to 24 Volts DC and supports an open style enclosure with dimensions of 46 x 94 x 53 millimeters. There are 13 indicators for process identification (1 green/red and 12 yellow); this module’s interfacing capabilities work with an I/O adapter to support communication with external devices. Basic errors with this module include transmission errors, removal from the terminal base, and incorrect module insertion.
The 1794-ID2 comes with easy screw mounting and supports DIN rail mounting as well. Installation and maintenance are quite easy with proper instructions to re-assemble parts after every maintenance. Remove field-side power before inserting this module as the electric arc generated can cause damage to property or personnel.
