The 2098-IPD-030-DN Ultra 5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive with DeviceNet is an intelligent drive by Allen-Bradley which employs a DSP-based control mechanism for high-speed positioning. It has a single-phase input rating of 100-240V AC, at 47-63Hz, and a nominal input current of 28A with a surge of 50A on Turn-ON. The 2098-IPD-030-DN also has an auxiliary input rating of 5A (nom) with 95A peak current surge at 230V AC, and an output current of 30A (intermittent) with 3KW output power and an absorption capability of 96 Joules. The 2098-IPD-030-DN has an internal capacitance of 2820µF with BUS voltage protection at 452V DC, and it is built with an internal 35Ω, 4.5KW shunt with 420/402V DC shunt ON/OFF voltage. The 2098-IPD-030-DN drive utilizes the space vector modulation algorithm for frequency modulation and provides positioning through the digital PI with 500µsec update rate, and the 4 motor feedback encoders (Incremental, Sine/Cosine, Intelligent, and Absolute). The drive provides serial communication using the 2 RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial communication ports and it supports an additional factory-installed DeviceNet Control interface with 125, 250, and 500 kbps selectable baud rates from 01-63 node addresses. The 2098-IPD-030-DN has an operating temperature range of 0-55 oC at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity, and it is built for installation even at an altitude at 1500m without de-rating.
