The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1606-XLP100E power supply is a switched-mode power supply that can supply loads with 100 Watts of power. This power supply has a special feature for single/parallel operation as an inclined characteristic. It is able to auto-detect the power level at the input terminals, whether it is 100 to 120 Volts AC or 220 to 240 Volts AC. The 1606-XLP100E special feature has a major advantage as an SMPS unit when compared to standard linear power supply units because it is much more efficient (90% typical efficiency).
