Description

The Allen-Bradley 1734-EPAC is a POINT I/O 120 to 240 Volts AC expansion power supply that transmits field power to I/O modules. It is also used to separate field power, efficiently creating a logical and functional partition between input and output modules, and grouping modules according to a specific function or task. This power supply can support 4 to 17 I/O modules – with the exact number depending on the DIN-rail position and current required for each module. Multiple 1734-EPAC’s with POINT I/O adapters can also be used to assemble a full system.

The 1734-EPAC Expansion Power Supply has an input voltage rating of 120 to 240 Volts AC nominal, 50 to 60 Hertz, and an 85 to 264 Volts AC range. It has a power consumption of 15.1 W maximum and a power dissipation of 8.4 W maximum at 264 Volts AC. With a 264 Volts continuous isolation voltage, it is tested to withstand 3250 Volts DC for 60 seconds. It comes with 2 green indicators – 1 for field power status and another for 5 Volts of system power. Plus, it features MOV and fuses input overvoltage protection. The 1734-EPAC is industry compliant with cULus, CE, and C-Tick certifications. The operating temperature should not exceed 55 degrees Celsius (131 degrees Fahrenheit) and the relative humidity should not exceed 95%, noncondensing. Make sure to turn off field wide power when connecting or disconnecting the wiring to prevent an electrical arc from occurring.
