About 2085-IQ32T
The 2085-IQ32T is a Micro800 32 Point Digital Input Module, manufactured by Allen Bradley. It consists of specified manufactured connects, with 32 input points and a 12 to 24 Volt DC convertor, a sink/source system, discrete isolated I/O modules, and an integrated LED identification light. The 2085-IQ32T is fitted out with an IP20 enclosure, which shields It against the entry of particles as small as 12.5 millimeters, such as dust. This unit’s dimensions are 46 x 87 millimeters (width and depth), making it adaptable to the factory’s other devices. In addition, the 2085-IQ32T provides a panel mount and a DIN rail, allowing easy mounting and adjustments. The temperature rating of this unit is around -20 to 65 degrees Celsius (-4 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit).
As a Micro800 expansion module, the general role of the 2085-IQ32T unit is to offer additional input/output (I/O) systems; this module’s function is to both complete and expand the capacity of a normal Micro850 controller by interacting with them through its expanding I/O points. The 2085-IQ32 lets a major work capacity due to it has available 32 inputs which is the major quantity in the Micro800 brand.
Similarly to all Micro800 expansion modules, the 2085-IQ32T can be mounted on a DIN rail, which is a device that can complete the grounding process for the device. It is recommended to use a zinc plated yellow-chromate steel DIN rail to assure proper grounding, since aluminum or plastic materials could suffer rusting, corrosion or poor conduction, which would fail proper grounding.
For environments with vibrations or any demanding conditions, it is suggested to use the panel mounting method for this module, as opposed to using a DIN rail.
The process consists basically in 3 steps: first is to place the 2085-IQ32T controller where it should be installed (always verify a suitable space between the controller and the module). Then, mark the drill holes through the anchor screws and mounting foot. Finally, drill the marks holes and mount the module.
